This is the fourth post in our look at the five core values of iHope. Today we’ll dig into our core value of Ethics, Integrity, and Excellence.
What does “ethics, integrity, and excellence” mean?
In a simple statement, we want to do what we say we will do, to the best of our ability. All of us working at iHope have a level of training to prepare us for our work, and we take it seriously to maintain the ethical standards of our profession and calling. In our counseling work, interactions with local churches, conversations in the community, and overall work in this world, we want to do the best job possible. We have established policies and procedures with the intent to be open, clear, and to provide the best possible services for our clients.
Why is this a core value of iHope?
Every client and potential client is created in the image of God, worthy of fair and honest treatment. In addition, God calls his people to be honest, kind, and hard workers. He asks us to treat others as better than ourselves (Philippians 2) and he expects us to represent him well. We at iHope are professing Christians, and we want to treat each other according to our true identify: people created in the image of God. We strive to do what God asks us to do.
