I celebrate Easter every day

Don’t worry, I don’t spend every day hunting around for colorful eggs.

Nor do I eat ham, see my extended family for a long meal, show up at my church building, or wear a pastel dress every day.

I don’t do these things every day, because this is not really how we celebrate Easter. It is not about the eggs, the pastel colors, or even about a big meal with family. Easter is about Jesus, and I do celebrate Him every day.

What do we actually celebrate at Easter?

In short – we celebrate the fullness and completeness of the gospel! The good news. And it is good – there is nothing more amazing, wonderful, or life-changing than the gospel. And without Christ’s resurrection, the gospel is incomplete, and we are incomplete.

Fortunately, we have the resurrection! And so, let’s celebrate! Not once a year. Not just every Sunday at church. Let’s celebrate every single day, for He is risen, He is risen indeed.
