Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and is sufficient for understanding all of life’s problems. The Bible is divinely inspired, truthful, and without error. As such, the Bible is our authority in all matters of faith, life, and practice.
  2. We believe the God of the Bible is a triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the maker of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, power, and wisdom. His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He suffered and died for our sake, and his death atones for the sins of the world. He was resurrected after three days and now lives in heaven, seated at the Father’s right hand. He will return in glory according to his promise. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and to sanctify, comfort, and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ.
  3. We believe that all humans are sinners who need Jesus Christ as Savior. God created man and woman in His image, and all people therefore have inherent dignity, worth, and value. All people are sinners, and all people can be redeemed and restored by God’s grace, through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and are progressively sanctified throughout this life, glorified, and ultimately raised to eternal life with Jesus.
  4. We believe the Church is a family of believers both local and universal. The purpose of the Church is to worship God and to proclaim the Gospel of Christ throughout the world. Christians are called to a life of faith and have an obligation to protect and enhance life as fully as possible for all people.
