Welcome to April! The sun is shining and it’s beautiful here in South Carolina. (If you’ve survived the pollen.)
April also means that we’re through the first quarter of 2019. The start of a new year is a common time for setting new goals, or “resolutions,” and I wonder how yours are going so far this year?
A few simple questions that are helpful as a regular life review include:
- Evaluating Priorities: What are the top areas of life that are most important to you in this season of life? How well is your day-to-day schedule showing that priority?
- Evaluating Effort: Regardless of the outcome so far, where would you put yourself on the scale of 1-10 for putting in genuine effort toward this goal? Daily effort? Weekly effort? Monthly effort?
- Re-evaluating Goals: Does this goal still point toward your top priorities? What has worked the best so far, and the worst so far? How might you benefit from adjusting the goal or the action steps to achieve it?
Here at iHope, our goals in 2019 focus around deepening our relationships with local pastors and churches, building more awareness of our counseling ministry in the local community, and supporting our counseling team so that they continue to provide the best possible care to our clients. Please be praying for us in these goals!
